How it works

Buying a gun online is easy, there’s just a few things to keep in mind.

Step 1:

Pick whichever firearm you’d like and add it to your cart. The only difference between buying a firearm and anything else, is that you’ll instead have to get it shipped to a Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder in your state of residence. This brings us to step 2.

Step 2:

Input your usual FFL into the shipping field that you’d like your firearm sent to. If this is the first time purchasing a firearm, then simply use our FFL locater and find one that will be convenient for you.

Step 3:

When your firearm is ready to pick up, you’ll receive an e-mail from us letting you know. Head over to the FFL with your state ID where you’ll fill out a Form 4473 (background check form), and then the firearm can be transferred over to you. Done!

Why these definitions matter

These definitions matter due to the laws in place governing the sale of firearms over the internet. Only FFL holders can receive firearms that are shipped or bought from a website online. It may seem obvious what can and cannot be shipped directly to your door, but the laws get muddied a little when you get into purchasing certain firearm parts. For example, if you’re building an AR-15, the lower receiver is what is considered the firearm and what has the serial number stamped on it during the manufacturing process. Therefore, things like the barrel, handguard, or triggers can be shipped directly to you, but the lower receiver will have to be sent to an FFL holder. During the checkout process, we’ll let you know if anything in your cart has to be shipped to an FFL.
